Future Youth Group meets to discuss the structural and thematic issues in a Cabinet Meeting on 26th April 2008 in Lahore. 

The cabinet decides to have an interim set up till the Annual General Meeting. The decision will be presented before AGM for approval. Rana Farhan Anwar is chosen as the Acting President for the interim period as Mr. Abbas Sarwar Qureshi has resigned from the position of the President FYG due to his official engagements.


TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEMS CONFRONTED BY YOUTH

 1- Higher education opportunity after basic schooling
2-    Young women face sexual harassment at work places
3-
    There are no alternative platform for recreation & entertainment
4-
    Lack of awareness on fundamental rights
5-
    The wide disparity of unemployment and to generate jobs after completion of education
6-
    Dual education system for rural areas
7-
    Lack of justice
8-
    Wide frustration due to poverty and unemployment
9-
    Lack of Youth or student Organization working in the country
10-
  No coaching or guide lines to students after the completion of their education to determine their professional field
11-
 Social responsibility of students to utilize their potential
12-
 The social deprivation and discriminatory treatment in education, status gap and class segregation, 

which inclines youth toward mal practices and short cuts.

 We have potential and capabilities which must be channelized and utilized

 Lack of competence and feeling shy to utilize their abilities in a positive way

 Traditional norms are not matching the prevailing policies
16-
 There are no healthy activities and competition due to the lack of knowledge and confidence

 Being a nationalist we have no determination of our rights and duties

 We have become clumsy due to lack of interest

 There is a generation gap, no sex education in youth due to lack of communication between child and parent; and the environment is not conducive for youth

 Youth taboo or teenage and youth depression which can be eliminated by establishing social     counseling centers

 Traditional norms are set to be revised

 Lack of opportunities to adopt profession by choice

 Institutions or Organizations are not strengthened

ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF YOUTH


1-     Pakistan is a developing country it must provide free education like other developed countries

     There is no check and balance in education system 
3-
     There are no vacancy or employment opportunities after acquiring higher education
4-
     There must be student loan
5-
     Technical education must be provided for youth survival
6-
     Part time jobs to support the student financial means
7-
     Rapid growing population
8-
     Low salary or wages for employees
9-
     Employment or Recruitment are in the control of feudal and bureaucrats 
10-
 Youth generation try to move or migrate to foreign countries for higher education 
11-
 To encourage the foreign investments
12-
 To stop spending or wasting money on election and try to invest on mega projects, there is increase of 15% in the salary of government employees whereas members of assemblies salary increase to 100%
13-
 Youth have become criminals due to unemployment
14-
 Why we associate all problems with youth whereas the role of civil societies must be defined and they must work for the welfare, rehabilitation and promotion of youth
